Explore the magic and practical applications of electional astrology. One of the more ancient forms of astrology, it enables practitioners to find the most optimal times for beginning of any important activity: marriage, surgery, financial, or other elections. In this Pocket Course, students learn the foundational principles of electional astrology, which may be immediately applied to practice. This course assumes familiarity with astrological basics (such as planets, houses, and sign meanings). It is founded on the principles of traditional astrology, but is useful to all students who are open and interested in learning electional astrology.

Elena Lumen, PhD, is a traditional astrologer and psychologist with a busy counseling practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Elena started her discovery of traditional astrology in the 1990s, when she first encountered the teachings of the Renaissance astrologer Jean-Baptist Morin and later W. Lilly. In 2013, she completed The Horary Astrology Practitioner Certificate with Deborah Houlding. Elena specializes in classical western astrology with an emphasis on horary, predictive, and electional techniques, providing consultations to a broad international clientele. In 2011, Elena completed her dissertation on the archetypal and psychological value of astrology for meaning finding at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Since 2015, Elena has been teaching horary and electional astrology classes, publishing, and lecturing on traditional technique.
